The YEJ2 and YDEJ2 series electromagnetic-brake motors are improved versions of the YEJ series, conforming to the national standard JB/T6456 and meeting the electrical performance requirements specified in the technical standards for the Y2 series motors. The YDEJ2 is an extended model of the YEJ2 series.
This series of braking motors features an electromagnetic brake mounted at the non-driving end of the motor shaft. When the motor loses power, the brake disc of the electromagnetic brake automatically presses against the motor’s rear cover, generating frictional braking torque that brings the motor to a stop. The no-load braking time varies from small to large depending on the motor model number, ranging from 0.15 to 0.45 seconds. The brake’s power supply must be synchronized with the motor’s power supply. Motors of the YEJ2 and YDEJ2 series are widely used as drive units in machine tools for mechanical processing, as well as in conveying equipment and machinery for packaging, woodworking, food processing, chemical industry, textile manufacturing, construction, retail stores, rolling doors, and other similar applications.
