The IE5/IE4 M2QA is ABB’s latest ultra-efficient, low-voltage motor product developed specifically for the mid-to-high-end market. Its efficiency levels meet China’s national standards of Grade 1 and Grade 2 efficiency (GB18613-2020). The product leverages ABB’s globally unified design platform. As a motor that boasts an attractive appearance as well as stable and reliable performance, it delivers outstanding mechanical and electrical characteristics and can accommodate customers’ customized design requirements. It is widely used across a variety of application fields.
The M2QA series motors are applicable to a wide range of industries, including papermaking, metallurgy, mining, lifting and hoisting, power generation, rail transit, shipbuilding, rubber and plastics processing, textiles, printing and packaging, food and beverage, chemical industry, water and wastewater treatment, HVAC, and more, meeting the equipment requirements of various supporting machinery in these sectors.
The rated power of the M2QA series motors refers to the motor’s performance when operating under the S1 continuous duty cycle (IEC 60034-1), with an ambient temperature range of -20℃ to 40℃ and an altitude not exceeding 1,000 meters.
IEC 60034-1 defines the impact of voltage and frequency fluctuations on temperature rise. The standard divides the combined variations in voltage and frequency into two regions, A and B. Region A covers cases where the voltage deviation is ±5% and the frequency deviation is ±2%; Region B covers cases where the voltage deviation is ±10% and the frequency deviation is +3%/-5%.
According to IEC 60034-1, tolerance refers to the maximum permissible deviation between the test value and the nominal value indicated on the nameplate (or sample). The test results are based on tests conducted in accordance with IEC 60034-2-1, IEC 60034-9, and IEC 60034-12.
ABB low-voltage motor standard painting system complies with corrosion category C3M according to ISO 12944 (equivalent to moderate corrosion resistance and durability). For other corrosion categories C4M and C5M, you can place your order using the variable codes 115 and 754.
ABB’s standard color is Munsell Blue 8B 4.5/3.25. For other colors, please place your order using the variable codes 114 and 646.
